Iran, Vietnam consult over parliamentary ties

HANOI, Nov. 19 (MNA) – Iranian Ambassador to Hanoi Saleh Adibi and Nguyen Si Quang, Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations at Vietnamese National Assembly, met on Friday and examined the ways to boost parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

While explaining the role of Iranian Parliament as a key element of religious democracy in Iran, Adibi underlined the importance of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides also consulted over the strengthening of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Nguyen Si Quang declared readiness of 14th National Assembly of Vietnam and parliamentarians to strengthen parliamentary diplomacy with Iran.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian Parliament Director General  for International Affairs, last Thursday met with Vietnamese Ambassador to Tehran Nguyen Hong Thach, and announced that Iran’s Parliament, specialized committees and in particular Iran-Vietnam parliamentary friendship group are ready to expand relations with Vietnam.
